Mario Circuit 1

Mario Circuit 1 is the first of a lot of things, including the first track in the Mario Kart series, the first track in Super Mario Kart, the first track in the Mushroom Cup and the first track in the Mario Circuit group. Because it is the first track, it is a beginner's track.

Layout and Origins
An origin isn't really named, though it could be based off regular levels in the Mario series. The track starts with a small straight start and then a left turn. You then meet one long road with coins thrown all around. The next turn you meet a large group of item tiles, where you can get mushrooms, bananas, shells, etc. Next are a couple boomerang-ish turns which can be slightly, but not entirely, difficult. In this part you may have the biggest possibility to hit a green pipe, which are place all over the track. You just have one more u-turn and you have reached the finish line. Just four more laps and you have won the race.

In Mario Kart DS
Future Appearances
It reappeared in Mario Kart: Super Circuit, only without green pipes and with relocated items. You have the option to switch between three and five laps in vs. mode. The track returned in Mario Kart DS with all the green pipes, but no coins. Also, you only need to race three laps to finish the race.
